Historic Hotels of America |
The National Trust for Historic Preservation set up a trust to preserve the Historic Hotels of America (HHA), so that they are maintained and preserved properly. People, who like a historic setting with a touch of class would simply love to spend their time at these hotels. You can also expect to find up outdoor adventure activities for your family, relaxing at the beach as well as shopping in special shops and galleries in these historic hotels of America. Here history is blended to meet the contemporary with the best of ways possible.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has identified those quality hotels, which have consistently upheld their historic significance, architecture and environment. These Historic Hotels of America are sought to be promoted at a national as well as international level, so that people prefer to put up at these places instead of other luxury or budget hotels of America.
Measures for Membership:
In 1989, the National Trust for Historic Preservation was established with a total of 32 official members. In order to be a member of this program, all the contesting hotels should be housed in a 50 year or more old architectural structure or building. Otherwise these hotels should be placed in such a place or in such a building, which is popularly known to have some sort of a historical significance. There are a total of 213 hotels as well as resorts. The following are the names of some of the historic hotels of America:
